Snoop Dogg is determined to bag a role on Coronation Street as Elle Mulvaney begged ITV bosses to “get him in the Rovers”.

The 51-year-old rapper – whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. – is reportedly a huge fan of the long-running soap, insisting he’s a huge fan of the “reality” TV serial.

He previously told The Sun: “Coronation Street, I love it. If they call me, I'll do it. I’ll play whenever they need. I love the cinematography, acting, the storylines and just the reality.”

Now, the Amy Barlow star has told TV executives to get the Drop It Like It’s Hot into the legendary pub in the Manchester-based programme.

During Friday’s visit to the ITV studios, Lorraine Kelly welcomed the brunette beauty and her co-star James Craven onto the show to talk about their heartbreaking rape storyline.

After talking about the latest development in their nail-biting story, the Scottish belle had to talk about rapper's latest comments and the soap.

She began: "Now look, there's news today that Snoop Dogg wants to be on Coronation Street, how do we feel about that?"

Elle excitedly replied: "We really want that like, imagine. Get him in the Barlow's, or the Rovers."

James added: "I think he'd add a lot to the show, I'd love to see him come face to face with Tracey Barlow."

The mum-of-one joked: "Now, who would win that? I don't think Snoop Dogg would!"

But this isn't the first music legend who has expressed their interest in joining the ITV soap.

Back in December, it was revealed that Bob Dylan was offered a role on the show after he previously revealed that he's a fan of the show.

Speaking to The Wall Street Journal about his TV habits, the singer confessed: "I've binge watched Coronation Street, Father Brown, and some early Twilight Zones.

"I know they're old-fashioned shows, but they make me feel at home. I'm not a fan of packaged programs or news shows so I don't watch them."
