Spoilers: Wendi Peters makes her arrival in Doctors as Doctor Nina

There has been quite a bit of coming and going amongst the Doctors cast in the last year or so.

First, nurse Luca (Ross McLaren) arrived, then went off round the world, before returning just in time to save Karen (Jan Pearson) after her heart attack. Then, Princess and Maeve (Laura White and Clelia Murphy) arrived from Sutton Vale, although both left under something of a cloud, Maeve turning out to be a criminal and Princess failing to qualify as a doctor due to her ‘difficult’ personality.

The much-loved receptionist, Valerie (Sarah Moyle) also had to leave after committing fraud although Scarlett (Kia Pegg) and the very new Kirsty (Kiruna Stamell) both joined the reception team and still remain there.

But now, could it be that someone else is joining the gang?

Dr Nina Bulsara (played by onetime Coronation Street actress, Wendi Peters) comes into the Mill.

Nina regales everyone with her own stories about the recent explosion, a drama in which she herself played a central role. But then Nina drops a bombshell all of her own: she is now the new partner and is thus effectively everyone’s new boss!

Everyone is in shock at the news, particularly Practice Manager, Bear (Dex Lee).

Then, Zara and Daniel (Elisabeth Dermot Walsh and Matthew Chambers) arrive, find out what has happened and try to calm things down.

But Zara remains resolute: Nina should be the new partner. Daniel is not so sure.
