Stephen Reid's plan foiled as Carla Connor makes demand in Coronation Street | The Sun

SERIAL killer Stephen Reid has been trying to get rich by conning his way to the top of the Underworld factory.

But his lies could unravel in a flash when Carla Connor approaches him with a demand next week in Coronation Street.

Stephen Reid (portrayed by Todd Boyce) drugged Carla Connor (Alison King), prompting her to believe she was having another psychotic episode.

While this temporarily worked a charm, with the villain at the helm while she recovered, Stephen's plans came crashing down when Carla revealed she intended to sell the Underworld factory.

Cash-strapped and unable to give her an offer without the financial support of his supposed other half Elaine Metcalfe, Stephen had to watch newcomer Owen (Ben Hull) swoop in to have his own deal with Carla.

Coming up next week on the ITV soap, things could go from bad to worse for Stephen as the businesswoman may make a shocking discovery.

It all starts in the Rovers when Stephen glances wistfully at Jenny Connor (Sally Ann Matthews), whom he has been secretly obsessing over.

He then transfers £480 from the Underworld bank account to a private account in the name of Seagull Ltd to pay the next instalment of the life insurance policy.

Later on, however, Carla tells him Owen is demanding to see the company accounts and Stephen masks his anxiety.

How will he manage to explain the withdrawal of money to her?
