Strictly Come Dancing 2022 line up revealed IN FULL | The Sun
STRICTLY Come Dancing's full line-up can be revealed today – so let's meet the people we'll all be spending Saturday nights with.
It's a bumper crop of soap stars, sports legends and, in a particularly inspired bit of casting, Matt Goss.
Here The Sun reveals all 15 celebrities who will be cha-cha-chasing Strictly's famous glitterball trophy in 2022.
James Bye
The man behind EastEnders' Martin Fowler is the penultimate name to be revealed for the ballroom this year.
James, 38, is following his Albert Square co-stars Rose Ayling-Ellis, Maisie Smith and – let's face it – half the cast on to the BBC series.
Away from playing the fruit-n-veg man, he is married to Victoria and they are parents to sons Edward, eight, Louis, six, and Hugo, three.
Will he have the dance skills to propel him to the later stages – or will be a case of bye-bye Bye? We don't have long to find out.
Helen Skelton
Although the BBC haven't revealed the final name in the line-up, The Sun revealed earlier this week that Countryfile's Helen Skelton will join the show on the back of her break-up with rugby ace husband Richie Myler, 32.
So it's perhaps lucky that Strictly has long functioned as a sort-of dating agency for the celebs who appear on it.
The Sun revealed Helen, 39, was doing the show, with a source explaining: "Most people are absolutely desperate to avoid the Strictly curse but Helen would love it to give her some confidence back.
“She’s a great signing for the show and enormously popular with viewers, especially after what has happened to her lately."
Tony Adams
Football tough-nut Tony was feared on the pitch – but will he launch himself onto the dancefloor with both feet flying?
The former Arsenal and England legend has showcased some fine moves before and will be hoping to shake off his unfair 'Donkey' nickname on the show.
He said: "To say I’m excited is an understatement – the lure of the sequins and the call of the Salsa has me swapping my battered old football boots for a set of Strictly soft shoes.
"I can’t wait to meet my partner – god help her – and start the dancing.”
Fleur East
She's triumped on The X Factor and I'm A Celeb – now it's time for Fleur to take on the mother of all reality TV shows.
The singer, 34, who these days is a presenter on Hits Radio, said she was delighted to be joining the show – though admitted the gig was tinged with sadness.
Fleur explained through tears: "For me it’s quite emotional. My dad who passed away in 2020, Strictly was his favourite show.
"I’m going to be doing it for him. I’m just gutted he can’t see me do it, but I’m going to keep him in mind during the show."
Matt Goss
"When will I be famous?," sung Matt Goss back in his Bros days, to which the answer is: every Saturday night until Christmas, old boy.
The pop icon, 53, who admits he'd become "almost reclusive" in recent years, has been lured back into the limelight.
However, he insists his music heart-throb days aren't going to do him any favours on the dancefloor.
He said: “Somebody's going to have to teach me." Luckily, that is pretty much the format.
Kaye Adams
It truly is a case of The Adams Family on Strictly this year – with three of them on the show (of which more later).
This one is journalist and TV presenting legend Kaye, who is best known these days for fronting Loose Women.
She is following co-stars Ruth Langsford, 62, and Judi Love, 42, in waltzing from ITV daytime into BBC primetime.
Mum-of-two Kaye, 59, told viewers: "I can think of a million reasons not to do this," saying that when a troupe of dancers appeared "I nearly exited from both ends of my body". Charming.
Will Mellor
Coronation Street favourite Will was one of the first stars revealed for this year's series.
The lad, 46, is well used to performing, having played Harvey Gaskell – and, lest we forget, Hollyoaks' Jambo Bolton.
But he admitted: "I'm not going to lie, it's totally out of my comfort zone and I know it will be a huge challenge but that's what life is all about.
"This is also my mum's favourite show and she’s had a really tough few years so I’m doing this is for her as well. Bring it on."
Kym Marsh
Another cobbles star will be appearing this year – after being rumoured to be joining the line-up for years.
Kym, 46, who is sure to remember some moves from her days in Hear'Say, said she's itching to get into the sequins.
She said: "I’ve considered doing Strictly for years but the timings never worked out. I’m so delighted that this year they have!
"I’m a huge fan of the show and can’t believe I’m going to go from watching at home in my pyjamas to actually dancing in front of the judges in a glittery dress, it’s unreal!”
Richie Anderson
If you don't listen to Zoe Ball's radio show – or avidly follow Coombs Wood FC – you might not know Richie.
The 34-year-old former Sunday League footballer, who presents the travel on BBC Radio 2, is in a same-sex couple this year.
Richie said: "I’m going to have to cancel my legendary Strictly launch night kitchen party that I throw every year, I’m sure my friends and family will understand.
"It’s also a massive honour to be part of an all-male dance partnership, it’s so important we have that inclusion on such a huge show.”
Molly Rainford
Britain's Got Talent star Molly found fame aged 11 when she was Simon Cowell's show's youngest ever finalist.
She went on to appear as the pop superstar Nova Jones in the CBBC drama of the same name.
Molly, now 21 (they grow up so fast), said: "I'm so excited to be part of Strictly Come Dancing.
"I've watched it for years and can't wait to meet the pros and the others taking part! I can't wait to learn the moves and get dancing!”
Tyler West
Kiss FM drivetime host Tyler, 26, began his career in kids' TV and fronted shows for BBC Three and MTV.
He revealed he was doing Strictly on the Kiss breakfast show, saying: "I am SO gassed to be joining the Strictly family.
"It’s going to be one crazy incredible journey which will no doubt be SO far outside my comfort zone."
Tyler continued: "It’s a show that means so much to me and my family and I can’t wait to seriously shake a leg on that shiny dance floor… with a side of sequins."
Ellie Simmonds
The Sun revealed earlier this month that Paralympic swimming star Ellie has joined up, in a new first for the TV show.
The 27-year-old sporting hero has a type of dwarfism called achondroplasia and is 4ft.
Speaking about doing Strictly, Ellie told fans: "I’m literally bursting with excitement! It’s been soooo hard keeping this secret as I’ve wanted to tell everyone."
She added: "I’m a tad nervous too, well more than a tad… I’m absolutely petrified! But I can’t wait!!"
Hamza Yassin
Countryfile's Hamza Yassin was announced as one of the final stars of Strictly 2022 yesterday.
The wildlife cameraman, 32, works on a range of nature shows including Animal Park and fronts programmes about Scottish wildlife.

"So it was me and the wildlife just raving it up really! It's been an amazing, amazing experience so far and I'm sure being on the show is going to be even better."
Ellie Taylor
Comic Ellie, 38, has appeared on a range of panel shows – from 8 Out of 10 Cats to Mock The Week.
But she gets recognised all over the world for her role as 'Sassy' the star and occasional love interest of Jason Sudeikis' Ted Lasso on Apple TV+.
Ellie, who is married to CNN freelance reporter Phil Black, said of being asked to do the show: "It was an immediate yes.
"I have wanted to do it for ever and more importantly my mum loves it.”
Jayde Adams
The last, but not least, Adams to appear on Strictly this year is stand-up star Jayde.
The comedian – currently performing her show Men, I Can Save You in Edinburgh – has appeared on a range of funny quizzes including 8 Out of 10 Cats Does Countdown.
Revealing her appearance on the BBC dance show the 37-year-old said: "Since I watched the first series in 2004, I feel every step I’ve taken in my career over the last 11 years was to be on Strictly.
"I cannot begin to express the emotions I am feeling, this means so much to me and my family."
