Strictly Come Dancing fans have been left unimpressed after Fleur East found herself dancing to save her place in the competition.

The singer who found fame on The X Factor has been in the bottom two for the second time, with several wondering how this could have happened.

During week six of the competition as the dancers celebrated the Halloween special, Fleur and Vito danced the Salsa to Beyoncé's Break My Soul, scoring a whopping 32.

However, despite receiving support from the judges for their impressive skills, it was announced during the Sunday night results show (October 30), that Fleur would be in the bottom two.

During week three of the show, Fleur and Vito danced the American Smooth to Part of Your World from The Little Mermaid, receiving a score of 29.

They were however saved by the judges, with Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse and Anton Du Beke saving them, while Richie and Giovanni were sent home.

Following the news that Fleur would be facing actor James Bye in the dance-off, fans were not happy.

Taking to Twitter, one fan said: "Public probably think Fleur is safe as she is so good so not voting for her #Strictly."

"Okay #Strictly voting public you do not deserve to have Fleur on the show if you’re not gonna vote, what is WRONG with you, good LORD," fumed a second.

While a third tweeted "I feel so bad for Fleur and Vito. Don’t really know what more they can do. I always enjoy their dances and they both seem like lovely people #Strictly."

"Fleur seemed like she was holding back anger at being in the dance-off again and I don’t blame her! #Strictly," said another.

The Sax songstress has previously opened up about her decision to join the programme, explaining that she agreed to sign up for her late father.

Speaking to Good Housekeeping, Fleur said: "Getting the call to do Strictly was the best early Christmas present I could have wished for.

"Especially because my dad, who passed away two years ago, absolutely loved the show, I knew I had to do it for him."

Fleur's dad, Malcolm, tragically died in 2020 after he suffered a heart attack but Fleur has been open about the show being his "favourite".

However, despite landing in the bottom two, Fleur was saved by all four judges as James Bye became the fifth celebrity to leave Strictly.
