Strictly Come Dancing partnerships leaked before launch and fans are seething
Strictly Come Dancing fans were furious after details of the dancing partnerships were published online ahead of its glossy launch.
The flagship BBC programme, which sees celebrities pair up with professional dancers and try to score a perfect 10 from judges, is returning for its 20th season.
The celebrity line-up, which has been officially announced, includes Helen Skelton, Matt Goss, Fleur East and Kaye Adams, with the stars spotted outside a rehearsal space earlier this week.
Meanwhile, among the professional dancers attempting to whip the famous faces into shape are Johannes Radebe, Katya Jones, Amy Dowden and Giovanni Pernice.
The duos will be attempting to wow judges Craig Revel Horwood, Anton du Beke, Shirley Ballas and Motsi Mabuse with their fox trot and quick step skills to take home the coveted Glitterball Trophy.
However, the BBC has been keeping the partnerships strictly hush-hush until nearer the first episode’s release, but according to fans, someone has ruined all the fun by leaking the 15 pairings online reports The Mirror.
To not spoil the viewing experience, Metro.co.uk has decided not to disclose the information.
An angry fan wrote: ‘How about you don’t tell who they are and ruin it for the rest of us.’
‘The Strictly pairings this year are so unexpected. Maybe they’re wrong but they shouldn’t be leaking that’s no fun!!’ another penned.
A viewer complained: ‘It was nice not knowing the pairings – that’s spoilt the first night.’
Ahead of the launch, singer Fleur revealed the grueling and long rehearsals caused her to be two hours late to her own radio show.
‘I’m so sorry guys but you’ve been holding down the fort really well!’ Fleur said.
‘We filmed the launch show for Strictly yesterday and the adrenaline was pumping, the energy was high, and we finished really, really late. I set both of my alarms but I just slept completely through them. I only woke up Matt when you called me to say where are you?!’ she added.
The BBC declined to comment when approached by Metro.co.uk.
Strictly Come Dancing is set to launch on Saturday September 17 on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.
