Strictly Come Dancing’s Rose Ayling-Ellis delights fans as she announces new TV role

Strictly Come Dancing star Rose Ayling-Ellis, who won the show in 2021, has announced her next TV project.

The former EastEnders actress, 28, who played Mick Carter's long-lost daughter Frankie Lewis on the BBC One soap, left Albert Square last year.

Since then, the star has popped up in various TV spots, most recently appearing on Anton Du Beke and Giovanni Pernice's road trip series Adventures in Sicily.

The sweet moment when Rose arrived on the sun-soaked Italian shores was heart-warming for fans who adored her friendship with Giovanni on Strictly, but she hasn't filmed anything where she's the main star.

That's now about to change though, as Rose, who has been deaf since birth, is appearing on Loose Women for a special one-off instalment.

The episode will focus on celebrating and raising awareness of the deaf community, with Rose as the main guest.

Posing in the studio, the actress grinned as she shared her excitement for the TV special.

"Join us for a Loose Women special episode, to celebrate Deaf Awareness Week," the star urged.

Wearing a lilac halter neck top and black trousers for the occasion, Rose looked stunning as ever with a sweep of blush and mascara on her eyelashes.

The Strictly winner opted to wear her blonde locks in a curly tousled style, and simple gold hoop earrings to finish.

Rose will be joined by Loose Women panellists Nadia Sawalha, Jane Moore, and Kay Adams for the episode. which will air on Wednesday 3 May.

Kay previously revealed she has suffered from gradual hearing loss and now wears a hearing aid.

"During the show from 12.30 pm, Loose Women fans will be able to watch the ITV1 version where subtitles will be available and a fully accessible version on ITVX with subtitles and an 'in vision' signer," ITV's statement on the episode read.

"Working alongside charities Royal National Institute for Deaf People, Sign Health and The Deaf Collective, the show's audience will be made up of the deaf community.

"Along with family, friends and BSL signers, with captions available to the audience to make the live show accessible."

Loose Women airs weekdays at 12.30pm on ITV.
