Radio host Tyler West has become the latest celebrity to depart from BBC's Strictly Come Dancing, following a nail-biting dance off.

On Saturday night (November 19), the 26 year old strutted his stuff alongside his professional dance partner Dianne Buswell in the Blackpool ballroom, as the show made an epic return to the seaside resort.

Despite receiving an impressive 35 points from the judges, Tyler and Dianne landed themselves in the bottom two alongside Molly Rainford and her partner Carlos Gu on Sunday night.

Fighting for his place to remain in the competition, Tyler and Dianne performed their salsa routine once again to KC and The Sunshine Band mega mix.

But sadly it wasn't enough to keep them in the running as the judges opted to save Molly and Carlos who performed their Jive to Bandstand by Barry Manilow.

When asked how he felt about leaving the star-studded show by host Tess Daly, Tyler said: "I’m more than a two step now! When you watch the show at home, you wonder what it must be like to dance on it, it’s everything and more, it’s changed my life."

Looking at his partner he continued: "This girl here, has changed my life for sure. To think I was some shy kid who never used to talk to anyone, to dancing in front of millions, I can’t put it into words."

But fans were not pleased to see the presenter go and took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the decision.

One viewer wrote: "That's upsetting, I wanted Tyler to stay."

While another penned: "Molly and Tyler didn't deserve to be in the dance off."

Despite many being upset that Tyler had to leave the show, some viewers did complain that the star had too many backing dancers when he first performed his routine.

Even though his dance moves didn't go unnoticed, some fans thought the additional dancers were a distraction.

Sharing their thoughts previously on Twitter, one viewer wrote: "Why are there so many backing dancers? I can't even pay attention to Tyler and Dianne."

While another annoyed spectator said: "I love Tyler and Dianne but this dance isn't it. Too many dancers on the dance floor and the song is way too disco."
