Comedian Jayde Adams has become the latest contestant to leave Strictly Come Dancing after she faced a tense dance-off against Molly Rainford.

BBC viewers were left outraged during Sunday (October 23) night's result show after Jayde and her partner Karen Hauer landed themselves in the bottom two alongside Molly and her professional dance partner Carlos Gu.

But as the contestants took to the dancefloor to prove to the judges that they were worthy of staying one more week, it was Jayde and Karen who faced elimination following the judges' votes.

After dancing the Charleston to late comic Victoria Wood’s The Ballad of Barry and Freda on Saturday (October 22) night, Jayde spoke openly regarding her departure and said she enjoyed her time working with Karen an the Strictly production team.

However fans at home were left reeling and took to Twitter to vent their annoyance regarding her shock exit.

One viewer wrote: "Fuming. That dance off was all wrong. Neither shouldve been there and Jayde should NOT be out already, wth #strictly."

Another annoyed fan penned: "Jayde brought so much joy & love to the show. There were at least 4 other dancers who should have left first."

Meanwhile a third person echoed: "Gutted that Jayde’s gone. She was never technically the best, but she was so much fun to watch."

Since her time on Strictly, Jayde has continued to make vast improvements and scored an impressive 31 points for her American smooth in week four.

Jayde recently opened up on why she decided to dance with a female partner on this year's series, revealing that she actually announced the choice many years ago on Twitter.

She said: "I said it on Twitter four years ago. I was watching the show and then I was like, 'If I was on Strictly, I'd like to be with a woman because then I could lift her.'

"Because whenever you have partnerships where you have a plus size guy, it's easy for him because he can always lift the girl.

But when you have it the other way round, and you have that imbalance, it's like, you know, the guys are great but they're not rugby players," she explained.
