Strictly slammed by two former stars – claiming BBC theme ‘ruined show’ | The Sun

TWO former Strictly stars have claimed that the BBC theme 'ruined' Saturday night's show.

This week saw the remaining celebrities dance to a BBC show theme tune to celebrate 100 years of the Beeb.

The likes of Blue Peter, Grange Hill and Casualty's opening credits were danced to on Saturday night's instalment of the programme.

However some weren't a fan of the unique idea.

James Jordan took to Twitter to share how unimpressed he was.

He said: "I’m so happy this won’t happen on Strictly again for another 100 years."

The dancer was on the programme between 2006 and 2013.

Another professional gave their opinion on the theme on the social media platform.

Robin Windsor, who appeared on the programme as a pro dancer between 2010 and 2013, said: "I loved the premise of strictly this week – for me sadly it didn’t work.

"Should have just had the fab opening number for bbc100 and then a normal show but that’s just my 2 cents."

Despite that, some thought that it was an amazing idea.

"I'm clearly in a minority, but I thought Strictly was great this week. Theme tunes worked better than hearing songs you love butchered by average-at-best live singers," one fan said.

A second added: "I ruddy love this Theme Tunes week #Strictly."

"These theme tune dances are absolutely bonkers, I love this episode so much," a third tweeted.

Yesterday saw Jayde Adams break her silence on her exit after being viciously trolled over her weight.

She wrote on Instagram: "I had the time of my life! Don’t worry about me my babes. I would’ve loved to have stayed obviously, our Halloween and couples choice plans were huge.

"Ya girls booked and blessed. I got my own series on ITV2 Ruby Speaking that I start filming in January, Alma’s Not Normal series 2, a massive UK tour, the Take That movie and loads more. Being on #Strictly was just the cherry on an already amazing cake.

"I’ll see you all on my tour in 2023!
