Strictly's Helen Skelton signed up for series 'just days' after ex boasted about new romance online | The Sun

HELEN Skelton put pen to paper on her Strictly Come Dancing deal just "days" after her split from husband Richie Myler.

The Countryfile host, 39, gave the thumbs up for glitz, glam and all things sequin-studded following the shock break up from her rugby star spouse.

Previously, The Sun revealed that Helen was appearing on Strictly Come Dancing hoping to “bounce back."

Sources have now confirmed her decision was made in the midst of her heartbreak, with one telling the Mirror the BBC series would boost her confidence.

They said: "The breakdown of any marriage is tough to cope with, and Helen has understandably found it difficult.

"Being on Strictly will undoubtedly restore her confidence."
