Susanna Reid forced to 'cover up' after struggling with wardrobe crisis moments before Good Morning Britain airs | The Sun
SUSANNA Reid suffered a wardrobe crisis just moments before going live on Good Morning Britain today.
The 52-year-old was forced to find something else to wear after her first choice was deemed inappropriate and she had to get co-host Ed Balls to help unzip her.
She was originally wearing a checked dress but was told by bosses it blended into the background too much.
Her next dress was a little bit too low cut though and there was a last minute scramble to get it sorted.
As the show kicked off, Ed began: “It’s amazing what you can do, in terms of activity in an outfit, and still manage to emerge serene.”
Susanna started laughing as he pointed to her broach and jokingly teased: “What are you referring to?”

She explained to viewers: “Oh yeah, I had a bit of an outfit, wardrobe crisis this morning.
“I put an outfit on that seemed to blend into the background, so the director with two minutes to spare said, 'Is there anything else in your wardrobe?'
“So, at two minutes to six, nipped into the wardrobe, found this, didn’t realise it needed a bit more buttoning up.”
Ed added: “I’ve never ever read a news headline from the autocue while simultaneously trying to unzip you from the back!
