The A-team's Murdock actor Dwight Schultz looks unrecognisable 35 years since show's debut | The Sun
A STAR of classic hit The A-Team looks seriously unrecognisable more than 30 years from his first appearance on the hit show.
Dwight Schultz played Captain ‘Howling Mad’ Murdock in the classic 80s series.
Dwight’s character Murdock was an aircraft pilot that was not initially part of The A-Team, but regularly accompanied The A-Team before quickly became Hannibal’s second in command.
But it’s fair to say that Dwight looks worlds away from the strong 80s pilot who audiences fell in love with.
The actor – now 74 – has matured and looks completely different to his legendary character, with grey hair and glasses.
The A-Team made its debut in 1983 and ran until 1987 and followed members of a fictitious United States Army Special Forces unit.

He starred on the show alongside fellow legendary actors George Peppard, Dirk Benedict and the fan favourite Mr T.
Murdock was committed to a psychiatric hospital likely as a result of PTSD with his episodes of insanity including self-identification with fictional characters, hallucinations, and belief in the "intelligence" of inanimate objects, among others.
Ladies man Murdock enjoyed a number of dalliances during his time on the show including with Tracy Richter, Doctor Kelly Stevens and Jody Joy.
Since his time on the classic programme, Dwight has become a veteran of the video game character world as well as involving himself in a number of podcast projects.

Dwight has managed to build a career for himself as a video game voice actor, taking on the voice roles in recent hits such as 2020’s Iron Man VR and 2017’s edition of Crash Bandicoot.
He’s also lent his voice to guest roles in kids TV shows such as Ben 10 and The Powerpuff Girls.
As a result of focusing on voice acting, Dwight last appeared in person on screen way back in 2001 with a role in an episode of the action-drama TV show The Agency.
