Reece’s last episode of The Apprentice saw him heading to Dubai during week six with the other candidates for a task focused on selling corporate tours. However, he wasn’t seen in any of the Dubai scenes and has since stated he left for “medical reasons.” Speaking near the time of the episode airing, Reece told Express.co.uk and other media that he had enjoyed an “amazing experience” before having to quit the BBC competition.

Reece was seen preparing to go to Dubai, but he didn’t take part in the actual task.

Before the boardroom meeting began following the trip, Alan Sugar informed the remaining candidates that Reece wouldn’t be returning to the competition, stating: “As you know, Reece wasn’t able to take part in the task.

“And he has subsequently left the process.” Moving on quickly, Alan turned his focus to the outcome of the tasks.

“It’s just health reasons,” Reece clarified whilst speaking to the media.

“I think where it’s really difficult is it’s a very demanding show.

“And unfortunately, I had to listen to my body on this occasion.

“You know, I made the big, bold decision to leave the process.”

Although his Apprentice journey had an unexpected ending for him, Reece enjoyed being a part of the process.

“I’m like, It’s not the ending that I prepared – I thought I would be standing there shaking his hand accepting the £250,000.

“But as I say, sometimes you need to listen to your body.

“That’s all I am going to say on it, but I had an amazing experience and I’ve made pals for life.”

Ahead of his exit, the Scottish contestant had experienced being on the winning and losing teams in the show.

He had found himself in the firing line shortly before as he was one of the candidates selected to face Alan after the week three task.

Luckily, he managed to be saved and continued through to the next couple of instalments before the Dubai episode.

After the Dubai tasks aired, a source claimed Reece was told he was asked to leave after drinking on the flight to Dubai.

The candidates are said to have been given strict instructions not to enjoy a tipple on the plane.

However, a show source told MailOnline: “Reece was sent home and didn’t film in Dubai.

“Producers were unimpressed when he had several alcoholic drinks on the flight even though he was told not to.”

It was also reported Alan was “furious” about Reece’s behaviour.

A spokesperson for The Apprentice told Mirror Online: “Reece was unable to continue in the process, this was discussed and agreed between Reece and programme-makers.”

The Apprentice continues on Thursday at 9pm on BBC One.
