The Apprentices Amy Anzel slams woke BBC show for poor representation of men

Amy Anzel has slammed The Apprentice for its poor representation of male entrepreneurs in the final of the 2023 series – as well as in series since 2017.

Recent scenes showed the last man standing Simba Rwambiwa get booted off the show two weeks before the finale, which Amy thought to be a "real shame".

But the former candidate thinks that Simba was a "victim of the narrative" after the last six years saw all-female finals.

Speaking to Daily Star exclusively ahead of the final tonight (March 23), Hollywood Browzer founder Amy spoke about the poor male representation in the show – branding it "woke".

"Last year, an all-female semi-final and ultimately an all-female final worked so well. It's totally woke and totally suits the BBC and The Apprentice 2023," Amy explained to us.

Adding: "And it worked last year, so why fix something that ain't broke. Although in my opinion it's a very, very broken show and poor Simba is a victim of that."

She went on: "Can you believe that in six years there has not been a male in the semi-final or final – since 2017 – isn't that insane?

"I think it poorly reflects male entrepreneurs in Britain and Lord Sugar's view of them.

"How is it, that out of all these candidates, he couldn't find one that was conscientious, hard working disciplined and actually showcased his business acumen throughout the process."

"It's just not true. Simba did a great job throughout," Amy said, adding that throughout the series Lord Sugar even complimented the hopeful candidate, backing up her claims of him being booted out to suit the "narrative".

This comes after Amy, who was thrown off the show in week six during the 2022 series, recently got blocked by Lord Sugar on Twitter, which came a year after she was "banned" from the final of the BBC business show.
