Season 10 of The Blacklist will continue the crime drama’s thrilling new era following the death of Elizabeth Keen (played by Megan Boone) when it returns to NBC next year. As James Spader returns to the role of Raymond ‘Red’ Reddington while the series films in New York, some fans have spotted that some potentially crucial moments will be filmed in the coming days.

Viewers have determined The Blacklist season 10 has been filming scenes in a graveyard this week.

The latest production updates could mean Red will pay his late daughter Liz a visit at some point in the next instalment.

Redditor janinraleigh recently spotted a sign confirming the series would be filming in Brooklyn on Monday, October 17.

Their post reads: “Today they were at Greenwood Cemetery in Brooklyn.”

“I only hope to visit Malek’s grave and not Liz’s,” they continued to speculate, before adding: “And next Monday it’s Hell’s Kitchen.”

It’s possible Red could be visiting the grave of Meera Malick (Parminder Nagra), who was killed off early in the series.

Although she hasn’t been with the team since the end of The Blacklist’s first season, her legacy will live on in the form of her daughter Siya (Anya Banerjee).

Siya will be infiltrating the task force next season to find out more about the people responsible for her mother’s death.

As she learns the truth about the tragic loss, a visit to Meera’s grave could definitely be on the cards to pay respects to one of Red’s first allies within the FBI.

Other fans have also spotted signs confirming filming taking place at Greenwood Cemetary earlier in the month.

Another sign was posted the previous week requesting vehicles to be moved on Tuesday, October 11 and Wednesday, October 12.

This could mean multiple sequences will be filmed around the gravesite, so both Meera and Liz’s deaths could be getting a mention.

Interested fan @AlyB1223 tweeted: “Always intriguing when they choose to film at or near Greenwood Cemetery in Brooklyn.”

Offering some more insight, they later added: “It’s where they filmed Sam Scott’s (William Sadler) funeral in season one and Liz’s fake funeral in season three.

“Also the episode where Red is in the catacombs with Mr Raleigh Sinclair (John Noble).”

Greenwood has been an important shooting location at many points in The Blacklist’s history, so it’s no surprise to see it being used once again for season 10.

Red was first seen visiting his daughter’s grave in season nine, most likely for the first time as he went into hiding following her death.

However, the circumstances of her murder are still weighing heavily on his mind, so it may soon be time for him to pay another visit while his search for answers continues.

Season 10 will also feature The Blacklist’s 200th episode, so long-time fans should expect plenty of crowd-pleasing moments and twists galore from the new outing.

The Blacklist seasons 1-9 are available to watch on NBC in the USA and Amazon Prime Video in the UK.
