The Chase took an awkward turn when cycling legend Sir Bradley Wiggins failed to name any of the chasers despite being a guest on the show.

The cycling legend has won tons of gold medals at the Olympics and plenty of other awards during his time as one of Britain's best ever cyclists.

Sir Bradley has broken several records in the sport and is still the only rider to have won both the World and Olympic championships on both track and road as well as winning the famed Tour de France.

But it appears his knowledge of Britain's quiz shows could use some serious polishing up as he suffered a terrible name blunder on telly.

The cycling icon wasn't able to name any of the show's chasers during the Christmas edition of The Chase Celebrity Special, which aired on Boing Day (December 26).

He later admitted he'd never watched the ITV show in his life despite being a celebrity guest on the festive edition of the programme.

When host Bradley Walsh asked him which chaser he'd like to face, the cyclist said: "I don't know their names. I know the guy with the cowboy thing," referring to Darragh 'The Menace' Ennis.

Walsh asked: "Darragh?", to which the sportsman replied: "Yeah, he looks pretty cool."

The studio started laughing before Bradley asked: "Is there a right answer?"

Bradley Walsh then started smirking as he realised: "You actually haven't watched this show, have you?"

Sir Bradley admitted: "No, I haven't."

Bradley put his foot in it again when he asked if Bradley was still appearing on Coronation Street, even though the Chase host left the ITV cobbles in 2006.

The pair even clashed for a minute when the Olympian accused Bradley accused his host of putting him off his answers.

But things got better for the biker as he racked up four thousand pounds in his cashbuilder and made it to the final chase with Paralympian Kadeena Cox and TV presenter Radzi Chinyanganya.

The trio made it to the final round with a possible £14,000 to win but were caught by Jenny 'The Vixen' Ryan.

But they didn't walk away empty-handed as the show gave the stars £1,000 each for their chosen charities – Sir Bradley's was Mind.
