The Chase’s Mark Labbett says he’s' single as he reveals reason why he won't get into a new relationship | The Sun
THE Chase star Mark Labbett said that he's enjoying his single life and is in no rush to get into a relationship for one big reason.
The professional quizmaster, who split from his wife Katie back in 2020, said he's away from home 150 days each year filming for the ITV game show.
Mark, 57, admitted that he's "married to his work" and said it would be difficult to squeeze in a romantic relationship with his busy work schedule.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Mark said: "I’m single, I say I’m married to my work, this is the first time I’ve been out out in a while.
"Right now I’m really appreciating me time.
"I’ve just had two weeks off in the glamourous resort of Rotherham, where I’ve been staying in my flat and I can just put the sport on, watch the films I wanted to watch, play computer games, had a go even on FIFA and I just loved it."

The TV favourite, who is known as The Beast on the popular show, said he is also too busy enjoying fatherhood with his young son.
"It’s great being a dad, but at the moment I’m really enjoying me time – to be fair I’m also away from home 150 days a year filming, so it would be tough to have a relationship even if I wanted to," Mark told us at the Dirty Dancing Gala in London.
"I'm generally enjoying life and loving being a father and doing all of that.
"I’m going back to see my boy after I finish filming and he’s just discovered Harry Potter, the books and the films, so I’ve got that to look forward to, a bit of bedtime reading."

Mark said he is also embracing his brand new body after an impressive 10st weight loss.
The ITV star said he's been forced to deny that he got a gastric band.
The quiz genius said he was tempted to have weight loss surgery but decided against and has shed the pounds through diet and exercise alone.
Mark said he now struggles to finish a roast dinner and “eats a fraction” of what he used to.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun, Mark said: “I’m not really trying to diet, I’m just being sensible, people say you’ve had the gastric sleeve or band, and I haven’t.
“And how you can tell is look at my face, do I look like I’m drawn? I’ve lost it slowly.”
A gastric band is a band that is placed around your stomach, so you do not need to eat as much to feel full.
But Mark, who weighed 378lbs at his heaviest, opted against it following advice from a doctor.
He added: "I’d like to buy some really nice stuff but it’s still quite hard to get it when you’re my kind of size.
"The last time I was in a pair of 38 jeans was 1989, so I’m feeling quite good about that.
“I think I’m down to 20 stone, I lost around 10 stone.”
Mark split from his wife Katie back in 2020.
The pair tied the knot in 2014 at Arundel Cathedral in West Sussex and were in an open marriage for six years.
He called time on his relationship with his second cousin after discovering she'd been cheating on him with another man for more than a year.
But the nurse grew close to senior design engineer Scott Bate, 30, over the past 18 months.
In an interview with The Sun they blamed their 27-year age gap and life in the Covid-19 lockdown for their troubles.
Mark moved out out their Hertfordshire home and set up camp as a single man.

The pair share a son together and like to keep their son out of the public eye as Mark previously said: "You won't find a pic of our son, nor am I gonna name him.
“If he wants to have social media when he's older he can but I won't do it for him. I want to embarrass him when he’s old enough to embarrass me back."
