One lucky contestant on The Chase pushed his luck as he took a savage swipe at Shaun Wallace just moments before he went head-to-head with the Dark Destroyer.

During Tuesday’s visit to the ITV studio, TV host Bradley Walsh challenged the latest batch of quizzers onto the show to put their general knowledge to the test.

This week, the Coronation Street star welcomed Janet, James, Izzy and Kalhum onto the show where they battled it out to take home an eye-watering cash prize.

But confidence levels may have been a little too high for some after Kalhum made a scathing remark about The Chaser moments before they went head-to-head on the show.

After raking in an impressive £3,000 in his cash builder, the TV hunk was asked which Chaser he believed he could take on one-to-one on the hugely popular gameshow.

It was at this point that the brunette bombshell confidently quipped: “Shaun Wallace, I feel like he’s got more off days than he has on, so I'll be all over him.”

But the cocky contestant needed to be careful what he wished for after the Mastermind winner stepped onto the stage.

And it appeared as though his scathing remark was not missed by the 62-year-old professional quizzer as he gave his low and high offer.

When Bradders asked for his high offer, the long-standing star offered Kalhum a high offer of £29,000 but when it came to his low offer the TV star said: “For that cheeky remark, £500.”

Luckily, the Scott was able to make it back to the table with £3,000 where he secured his place in the grand final against the disgruntled Chaser.

It comes after Bradley Walsh hit out at Chaser Mark 'The Beast' Labbett after the pair found themselves in a verbal tennis match.

On the show, Bradley admitted that he didn't know the common London Underground phrase 'See it, say it, sorted'.

As one of the nation's most famous TV hosts, Bradley might prefer to avoid riding the bus or taking the tub in an attempt to prevent being hounded by loving fans in the streets.

But that didn't stop quiz genius Mark from taking savage transport swipes at his presenter in front of their players, as he joked Bradley gets driven around by a personal "chauffeur".
