The Lincoln Lawyer season 2 has been split in half

Based on the work of author Michael Connelly, The Lincoln Lawyer was transformed from a book series into TV series last year for Netflix.

Mexican actor Manuel Garcia-Rulfo took on the part of defense attorney Mickey Haller who restarts his career in Los Angeles, taking on cases he becomes personally invested in.

Season two is an adaptation of Connelly’s fourth book The Fifth Witness where, after the success he had in season one, has gained fame and the pick of high-profile cases which may not be what’s best for him.

When does The Lincoln Lawyer season two, part two come out?

The Lincoln Lawyer returned for season two on Thursday, July 6, on Netflix.

Series two is made up of 10 episodes in total with just the first five coming out on the initial release date.

Part two is also going to be made up of five episodes but won’t be dropped for a little while yet.

The Lincoln Lawyer season two, part two, will premiere in a month’s time on Thursday, August 3.

After this point, all 10 episodes of the legal drama are going to be available to watch at the click of a button.

This is far from the first time a show on Netflix has been split into two parts either.

In recent years, it has become more common for series to be halved in order to build up excitement and increase a show’s viewership.

From You and Firefly Lane, to The Witcher, to Money Heist and Lucifer, it is becoming the norm to wait for the second half of popular series.

As of yet though, it isn’t clear if there will be more to come from Mickey Haller.

The Lincoln Lawyer has yet to be given the green light for a third outing, so it will depend on how many subscribers tune into series two.

Coming off the back of a successful case in season two, series two sees Mickey represent a woman accused of murdering a rich man.

Despite him suspecting her guilt, he works tirelessly to try and get her exonerated for the crime.

But as he delves deeper into the case and discovers the victim’s illicit activities, he starts to find himself in danger as well.
