The Simpsons eerily predicted sub would go missing in underwater treasure tour
The Simpsons fans were convinced the seminal cartoon has "done it again" and predicted a missing sub running out of oxygen during an underwater tour.
A multinational search has gone into their fourth day of rescue, seeking a Titanic tourist submersible with five people on board, including company boss Stockton Rush.
The minivan-sized "Titan" sub has 96 hours of emergency oxygen and is believed to have only a few hours of breathable air left.

The 2016 episode showed Homer Simpson reuniting with his long lost dad, Mason, and they went on a "treasure excursion" underwater.
In the clip shared on TikTok, Mason announced to the members of a "mothership": "Today I'm filled with joy, searching for treasure with my long lost son. My dream for each of you is that you find the happiness I feel today.
"These waters contain some of Mother Nature's most stunning creatures."
The father-and-son pair went on an individual sub to find a sunken ship.
He said: "Homer, look! The treasure of Piso Mojado [meaning wet floor in English]."
Later in their journey, Homer somehow got lost and mistook a luminous fish as his father.
He followed the fish and got trapped in a coral cave.
Desperately trying to manoeuvre its way out, the control panel flashed a warning sign of "oxygen low".
Homer got panicked when the sign changed to a red sign of "oxygen gone".
He lost consciousness in the sub but luckily he was found and woke up from a coma three days later in a hospital.
Viewers had an "eerie" feeling while watching the resurfaced clip.
One said: "My mind is absolutely blown right now. The Simpsons is so prophetic."
Another wrote: "Not exactly the same but close enough!"
This is not the first time The Simpsons predicted real-life events, including Donald Trump's presidency and the coronavirus pandemic.
