‘The Voice’ Recap: John Legend Finally Uses His ‘Save’ Button
The first battle in the new episode is between Eric Who and Sydney Kronmiller from Team Camila Cabello who take the stage to sing ‘Paparazzi’ by Lady GaGa.
AceShowbiz -The Battle Rounds continued in the new episode of “The Voice“. Airing on Tuesday, October 18, the outing saw the coaches, Blake Shelton, John Legend, Camila Cabello and Gwen Stefani, sending more singers from their respective teams to face off each other.
The first battle was between Eric Who and Sydney Kronmiller from Team Camila who took the stage to sing “Paparazzi” by Lady GaGa. After the performance, Gwen described Eric’s vibe as “weird in a good way.” Meanwhile, the coaches praised Sydney for her unique voice. It was a tough decision for Camila, but she eventually decided to make Eric the winner of the battle.
Following it up were Team Blake’s Benny Weag and Brayden Lape who belted out “Perfect Heart” by Parker McCollum. They decided to ditch their guitars for the performance. Brayden was praised for his “endearing” and youthful tone, while Benny seemed to be overly aggressive during the performance. Blake chose to keep Brayden in his team.
The episode also featured montage of some battles. That included Team Blake’s youngsters Eva Ullman and Ansley Burns, who showed off their take on Taylor Swift‘s “Wildest Dreams (Taylor’s Version).” Blake chose Eva as the winner over Ansley. Team John’s SOLsong and Morgan Taylor then battled over The Weeknd‘s “Die For You” with Morgan moving onto the Knockouts. Team Gwen’s Daysia and Julia Aslanli were also seen facing off each other while singing “Home” by Michael Buble. Daysia won the battle.
The Marilynds and Parijita Bastola from Team John rounded out the night, battling it out by performing “How Deep Is Your Love” by the Bee Gees. The song was perfect for the duo, but Parijita impressed Blake with both her vocals and performance. John was torn as he thought The Marilynds had “flawless” harmonies while Parijita had such “self-awareness” and an “inviting” voice. Eventually, John picked Parijita as the winner. He didn’t let go The Maryilyns as he decided to use his one and only save to keep them in the competition.
