This Morning confirm host line-up for Tuesday as fans beg ITV to save show

Awkward moment between Phil and 'smiling' Ruth amid Holly 'feud'

Many This Morning viewers tuned into Monday’s instalment of the ITV talk show to see if Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield would be presenting the show together amid rumours of an off-screen “rift” between the duo.

Despite the doubt, both Holly and Phil put on a united front on the programme and they got through the instalment without addressing the speculation.

ITV bosses have confirmed Holly and Phil will be hosting Tuesday’s episode of This Morning on social media which has been met with mixed reaction.

Money expert Martin Lewis and Coronation Street actress Ellie Leach are also set to appear on the programme.

As well as this, astrologer Hagan Fox will be taking viewers’ calls about the stars.

With the weather continuing to warm up and the bugs returning, there will also be a segment on keeping ants at bay.

This Morning fans have begged producers to replace Phil with another presenter under the Twitter post.

Elaine shared: “Have Vernon Kay on as a presenter with Holly!”

Nicky Kinge suggested: “Keep Holly and have different presenters alongside her, like Good Morning Britain have done, time for a change now.”

Miranda Stewart penned: “When you have Gyles and Camilla discussing the news headlines how on earth can you avoid all the main headlines in all the papers namely Phil and Holly and the calls for their dismissal, the show this morning was ridiculous it at least should have been mentioned.”

Sharon shared: “Keep Holly and get rid of Phil! You just might save the show… Phil/Gary L are two of a kind…can do/say what they want and get away with it!” (sic) 

Unda Whiting remarked: “I prefer Josie [Gibson] and her [Craig Doyle]. They’re a perfect presenting pair… So much fun when they’re on… Best duo by far.” (sic)

Holly and Phil have been hosting This Morning for the past 14 years together on the Monday to Thursday slot.

Alison Hammond and Dermot O’Leary present the show on Fridays after replacing husband and wife duo Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford.

This Morning airs on weekdays from 10am on ITV and ITVX.
