This Morning hit by Ofcom complaints from furious viewers over Holly and Phil's 'queue jump' apology | The Sun
THIS Morning has been hit by Ofcom complaints from furious viewers over Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield "queue jump" apology.
The TV watchdog has confirmed that they received 55 official complaints from upset viewers.
A petition for the pair to go is gaining momentum despite an on-air apology last week.
Holly, 41, and co-host Phil, 60, did a segment addressing online claims they were “too posh to queue” in Westminster Hall last Friday.
Speaking over a montage of people lining to see the coffin, Holly said they went in as accredited broadcasters, adding: “It was strictly for the purpose of reporting on the event for millions who weren’t able to visit in person.”
Ofcom said the complaints were related to Philip and Holly'sexplanation of their prior broadcast from Westminster Hall during the mourning period for Queen Elizabeth II.

Viewers were left disappointed and took to social media to slam the presenting duo.
One tweeted: “Show us the report they did from inside the hall then we can see they were working and the situation is resolved.
“If there isn’t one and there is no footage of them in the hall they didn’t need to be in there.”
A second posted: “What a disgrace Holly and Phil are.

“No apology, just a very insincere voiceover.”
The Sun exclusively revealed that Holly has been battling for her This Morning job.
Holly called in lawyers and a source said: “She’s utterly devastated. It’s been an incredibly tough few days.”
The source hit back: “Holly would be the first to hold up her hands and quit if she disrespected the public.
“She was doing her job but has been portrayed as enemy No1, while Phil has been subject to embarrassing memes.
“Holly had to get lawyers over the weekend over the presentation of this false, very damaging narrative.
