Tipping Point host Ben Shephard couldn't contain his laughter when a contestant suffered an embarrassing question blunder.

During Thursday's episode (MARCH 23) of the popular ITV gameshow, hopeful player Keith stepped up to the plate, hoping to win the coveted £10,000 jackpot counter.

However, his general knowledge left a lot to be desired.

Ben posed several questions to Keith, but the contestant's answers had the host in stitches as he couldn't help but laugh at his epic wrong response to one question in particular.

Viewers were quick to comment on Keith's performance on social media

Keith was asked: The name of which jumping insect is given to a type of street market selling secondhand goods?"

Keith responded: "Grasshopper," to which Ben told him the answer was "Flea".

Ben then went on to mock the player saying: “ah yes those famous grasshopper markets”

Viewers were quick to comment on Keith's performance on social media.

Several viewers simply commented “grasshopper!!!” followed by laughing emojis.

Another fan said: “Ah, yes. That well known grasshopper market. What a donut!"

Another hilarious blunder popped up shortly after as player Vani began her quick fire round in a bid to catch up with the other players.

She was asked: “A Spaniard in a native of which country,” to which she simply replied: “pass.”

“#tippingpoint Blimey Vani !!! the answer was in the question!” said one player, followed by several laughing emojis.

“Where oh where does a Spaniard come from #TippingPoint,” said another, while a third commented: “Doesn’t know where a Spaniard is from?”

Other viewers slammed how easy the questions were, blasting: “Jeez – the questions on #tippingpoint are getting ridiculously simple! "What colour is red?" wouldn't surprise me.”
