On January 18, 2017, the recording artist told The Breakfast Club: "Wayne is a very great person.
"Wayne never did anything wrong to me. The thing is, when I dated Wayne — which was so many years ago — we were just real young.
"Wayne was real young. I was real young. A part of it was, ‘I don’t even know what I’m doing, and I know you don’t know what you’re doing.'"
During another interview on July 17, 2022, Trina echoed the same sentiments.

The Love & Hip Hop: Miami star revealed on the Drink Champs podcast: "Wayne to me has always been a great person.
"Sometimes when you're young in this industry, things are so fast and it just doesn't work out the way you plan or think it's going to work out."
The rapper-turned-reality star shared: "Wayne is one of the most honest guys I've ever been around or met.
"He's not with the games, that's not him and that's never been the situation.
"I'm always going to speak highly of him. He's a great man, he's a smart person."
She added: "He was always amazing and nice to me. With us being friends to this day, if I hit him up for anything, it's always yes.
"It's a respect that I'm never going to not have for him."
From 2007 to 2010, she was in a relationship with New York Knicks basketball player, Kenyon Martin.
From 2012 to 2014, Trina was romantically linked to New York City-based rapper, French Montana.
Although the two never confirmed a relationship, they were seen together on multiple occasions.
While Montana was supposedly romantically involved with the Miami hitmaker, reports also linked him to Khloe Kardashian during the same time period.
When did Trina and Raymond Taylor get engaged?
In September 2021, it was revealed that Trina and Raymond Taylor are engaged.
The engagement came on the heels of the two dating since 2017.
