TV cancellations after the Queen’s death – from ITV Daytime to soaps
In the wake of the Queen's death, and as the country enters a 10-day period of national mourning, TV schedules across all major stations and channels have been altered as a mark of respect.
Queen Elizabeth II died peacefully at Balmoral at the age of 96 on Thursday. In an unprecedented move, the public were notified of the Queen's ill-health in the afternoon, and broadcasters swiftly switched to airing special news coverage.
When her death was sadly announced just hours later, schedulers began the task of rearranging programming for the coming weeks, with tributes replacing dramas, reality television shows and comedies.
Programmes affected include daytime TV such as This Morning and Loose Women, as well as soaps such as EastEnders, Coronation Street and Emmerdale.

Friday's schedules
BBC One is airing news coverage for the rest of the day with its usual schedule pulled.
BBC Two will air EastEnders tonight at 7pm. Richard Osman House of Games, Gardeners' World and Gone Fishing remain in the schedule.
ITV daytime programmes have been pulled and replaced with rolling news.
Channel 4 News will be a two hour special this evening from 7 to 9pm. Gogglebox is still scheduled, but OK! has contacted Channel 4 for confirmation it will air as planned.
Emmerdale and Coronation Street
Emmerdale was cancelled on Thursday night, as was Friday's episode. Coronation Street has also been pulled from Friday's schedule with plans for next week's episodes due to be confirmed in due course.
ITV will instead air news coverage followed by The Longest Reign, a documentary on Her Majesty.
Weekend schedules
The Masked Dancer and The Voice UK are still showing on the ITV schedule for Saturday evening but this may be updated.
The BBC has announced that Friday and Saturday’s Proms are amongst the weekend shows being cancelled on BBC1. Saturday would have been the Last Night and the concert itself will not be taking place.
Although the Last Night has been modified in response to public events (the programme was changed in 1997 after the death of Diana Princess of Wales and also in 2001 after the 9/11 attacks) this is the first time since WW2 that the final concert has not taken place at all.
Upcoming shows
Elsewhere, some big shows are expected to be postponed or potentially rescheduled.
Strictly Come Dancing was set to return for 2022 with a pre-recorded launch show on Saturday 17 September 17, but fans have been speculating over whether that could be postponed.
RuPaul’s Drag Race UK season 4 was set to begin 22 September on BBC Three and BBC iPlayer but it's thought it will be delayed.
Channel 4 was also planning to show a satirical musical about Prince Andrew next month which will likely be delayed.
The Crown was also set to air on Netflix next month and while changes to this are yet to be announced, production is thought to have been paused. OK! has contacted Netflix for confirmation.
Comedy shows on TV and radio are unlikely to be aired during the mourning period.

For over 70 years, she has united this nation, supporting the right of everyone to have the opportunity to succeed and celebrating the rich diversity of our communities."
