What happens in EastEnders tonight and does Ben die?
The following article contains spoilers for this week’s EastEnders episodes, which have NOT yet aired on TV, but can now be viewed on BBC iPlayer in the form of a boxset.
Ben Mitchell (Max Bowden) lands himself in serious danger in tonight’s EastEnders, as he collapses after taking a number of drugs.
Ben has turned to drugs to try and cope with the emotions he’s been experiencing after being raped by Lewis (Aidan O’Callaghan).
There’s a lot going on tonight, so let’s get right into the details:
What happens in EastEnders tonight?
Ben is also currently dealing with the aftermath of telling the Panesar family he stopped Jags’ protection, which led to his death.
He attempts to talk to Kheerat (Jaz Deol) tonight, but his former pal isn’t prepared to forgive him and makes his feelings perfectly clear.
The stressful situation causes Ben to turn up late to Lexi’s (Isabella Brown) dance exam, which upsets her hugely.
After snapping at Lexi, Ben heads out and gets his hands on more and more drugs.
Realising he’s late for Lexi’s dinner, Ben leaves her an emotional voicemail and says he’s on his way, but he collapses.
Does Ben die in EastEnders?
Due to the boxsets continuing to be uploaded on BBC iPlayer, we can confirm what happens next with Ben.
You’ll find out if he lives or dies below!
After collapsing, a barely conscious Ben is found by Suki (Balvinder Sopal), who leaves him to die, wanting revenge after Jags’ death.
Ben subsequently loses consciousness, but Callum Highway (Tony Clay) and Jay Brown (Jamie Borthwick) find him before it’s too late.
Ben is taken to the hospital, and it’s later revealed that he suffered a heart attack. Thankfully, he pulls through.
Phil (Steve McFadden), meanwhile, has a heart-to-heart with his son, telling him how much he loves him, before apologising for not being more supportive when he first learned about his rape ordeal.
This week’s EastEnders is now streaming on BBC iPlayer.
