Speaking to Disability Horizons, Alex said: "Looking back, that was madness because, inevitably, if things went the way I wanted it to, I wouldn’t be able to hide it forever."
He further discussed his fear when he took off his prosthetic leg in front of Lynsey saying he was “nervous”.
He admitted: “The first time I did she didn’t say anything and we never talked about it. The concern was more in my head than hers."

They welcomed their first child in 2017, a daughter named Daphne.
Shortly after they welcomed their second daughter but have not revealed the name.
Alex previously said he was “terrified” his children would inherit his disability.
The proud father sometimes posts adorable pictures of his kids on Instagram, including getting his face drawn on and "opening a nail bar".
Alex and Lynsey's marriage was rocked by allegations of cheating in 2019, but Alex fought to save it.
