Who is Masha Rener? | The Sun

MASHA Rener has come a long way from growing up in the Italian countryside.

The chef, who makes an appearance on MasterChef 2022, is deeply passionate about the Italian culinary scene and has been crowned the "Queen of pasta".

Who is Masha Rener?

Masha Rener was born in 1980 in Umbertide, an Italian town in between Umbria and Tuscany.

Her parents owned a farm and restaurant, La Chiusa, which is where she was first introduced to the culinary world.

Her passion for Italian cooking grew, and by the age of 22, she was running her parents' restaurant on her own.

She was then invited to cook at Lina Stores, an Italian delicatessen with branches all over London.

The deli has been open since 1944, and the company still sell fresh Italian produce and ingredients many years on.

Which restaurants has she worked in?

Masha is currently head chef for two Lina Stores branches in Soho and King's Cross.

She became friendly with staff at Lina Stores after frequenting the eatery for fresh Italian ingredients while in London.

In the past, she has independently managed the La Chiusa restaurant in Umbria, Italy.

Cast for BBC's Crossfire – From Keeley Hawes to Lee Ingleby

The restaurant was opened by her parents Claudio and Dada Rener in 1985 on their organic farm in the countryside.

Which TV shows has she been on?

Masha joined host Nadia Sawalha in an episode of her show Nadia's Family Feast which explores the depth of Italian cuisine.

In the episode, Masha guides Nadia on making a full day Italian menu, featuring dishes such as Italian herb-roasted chicken and mezzaluna pasta.

Masha appears on series 17 of Celebrity MasterChef in 2022,judging the penultimate Chef's Table challenge for the final three contestants.

Fellow judges Francesco Mazzei (Sartoria), Jacob Kenedy (Bocca Di Lupo) and Theo Randall (Theo Randall at The Intercontinental) also appear alongside Masha.

The Chef's Table is hosted by  legendary Italian chef Giorgio Locatelli at his Mayfair restaurant Locanda Locatelli.

Is Masha married and does she have children?

Masha is not currently married, although she has been married previously.

She has two young children, a son and daughter named Valentino and Mia.
