TIM Wonnacott was famed for his role as BBC’s Bargain Hunt daytime show host.
However, he shocked fans in 2015 when it was suddenly announced that he had left the series after 12 years.
Why did Tim Wonnacott leave Bargain Hunt?
At the time of Tim's departure, the BBC said: "Tim is not currently in production on Bargain Hunt and we are using guest presenters.
"We wouldn’t comment on individual staff matters.”
The BBC went on to thank Tim for his dedication to the show.
Tim also released a statement that said: “I am pleased to have been part of Bargain Hunt for so many years and have thoroughly enjoyed every one of my roughly 1,200 programmes hunting out bargains with the contestants

When was Tim Wonnacott on Bargain Hunt?
Tim was the face of Bargain Hunt for 12 years, between 2003 and 2015.
He was originally contacted to do Bargain Hunt for 30 shows but ended up doing more instalments as viewers took a liking towards him.

In September 2015 it was announced the presenter would no longer host the series.

Wonnacott took part in the twelfth series of Strictly and was partnered with Australian dancer Natalie Lowe.
The pair were eliminated in week four, after dancing the paso doble.
After being eliminated, Tim said: "It’s a great treat to be on a programme like Strictly.
"For an old geezer like me, who comes along in his 64th year and he’s slightly portly, and he thinks he’s a bit over the hill, this last month, with this delightful teacher, has taken me to a very special place".
