On Monday’s instalment of the Strictly spin-off show It Takes Two, celebrity Will Mellor spoke to host Rylan about how he’s found his second week competing in the BBC dance show. During their conversation, the actor confessed he fears he’s not training enough with partner Nancy Xu.

Last Saturday saw the 15 celebrities take to the dancefloor for a second week in a row as they faced the public vote for the first time.

As there was no elimination during the opening week, viewers watched as Matt Goss and Kaye Adams were the two lowest scoring stars and went head-to-head in a dance-off.

Although it was Loose Women’s Kaye Adams and professional partner Kai Widdrington who failed to impress as they were the first couple to be booted off the show.

However, one star that did wow the judges and viewers at home was actor Will who is currently second on the leaderboard with a combined total of 60 from both weeks.

The Strictly star along with his partner Nancy spoke to Rylan about how they’re finding the competition so far.

During their chat, the actor confessed that although he gives it everything he’s got, there’s one particular part of the show that terrifies him.

Speaking to the host, he said: “I want to go to that room on the Saturday night when you’re dancing, if you’ve not trained hard enough it’s your fault.

“I’m terrified that I’m going to get there and go, ‘I could’ve done more’, I give it everything.”

Rylan told the star that he did a great job with his performance and he can now move on to the next week ahead.

Will replied: “100% and it’s taken over my life it really has. I mean it’s the first thing I think about in the morning, it’s the last thing I think about at night.

“I’m dreaming about it, I’m dreaming about Nancy quite a lot cause I’m with her all the time! I just want to go as far as I possibly can and do the best I can and I’ll give it everything.

“If it’s not enough then that’s fine but at least I can walk away and say I tried and give it everything and that’s all I do.”

Over the weekend, Strictly viewers saw Matt and Nancy open the show as they did a Salsa routine to the song Never Too Much.

Their routine got them a total score of 26 from judges Craig Revel Horwood, Motsi Mabuse, Shirley Ballas and Anton Du Beke which put them at number eight on the leaderboard for week two.

However, adding that to their impressive score of 34 from week one, it’s pushed them up to second on the leaderboard overall behind Molly Rainford and Carlos Gu who are storming ahead with a score of 65.

On the other end of the scale, Tony Adams and his partner Katya Jones have remained bottom of the leaderboard after scoring 15 in week one and 22 in week two, giving them a total of 37.

Sadly, it was Kaye Adams who was the first star of the show to be eliminated after her Charleston routine didn’t impress the judges or viewers at home.

When it was revealed that she’d be leaving, the Loose Women star said: “She said: “I am delighted for Matt and Nadiya, the only person I am just sorry for is this wonderful man [Kai], who has just been so brilliant.”

“I said my ambition was to learn to love to dance, and actually I have seen a whole new side to myself.

“It’s opened a little door, it’s been a wonderful experience and to spend time with such talented people who love the show so much has been a joy!”

Strictly Come Dancing continues Saturday, October 8 on BBC One at 6:30pm with the results show on Sunday, October 9 at 7:20pm on BBC One.
