The driver of the Range Rover involved in the high-speed fatal crash on the A40 has suffered a setback in his recovery and remains in a coma.
Doctors had hoped to bring Rida Al Mousawi out of a medically induced coma last week but have been forced to put off the planned procedure.
Friends said the 24-year-old remains in a ‘critical condition’ at St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington.
Police investigating the crash on Monday, August 22, which claimed the life of 33-year-old beautician Yagmur Ozden, have been unable to interview the jewellery shop manager.
Her close friend Zamarod Arif, 26, who was sat in the front passenger seat, survived with a broken arm and leg.

An inquest into the crash almost two weeks ago was suspended by the coroner earlier this week as it is subject to a criminal investigation.
Mr Al Mousawi, who was not wearing a seat belt, was found on the platform at Park Royal station after his super-charged 4×4 flipped on to the railway tracks after careering off the road at high speed.
He is believed to have suffered a serious head injury as well as multiple broken bones.
A friend told Mail Online: ‘The plan was for Rida to be brought out of the coma, but he is not well enough yet. His family are by his bedside and just praying that he gets better.
‘His condition is still critical. He had an operation on his skull and another on his jaw this week. It looked like he was going to be stable, but now the family have been told he is still critical.’

Police have obtained CCTV footage of the black Range Rover as it travelled on the westbound carriageway of the A40, one of the main routes out of London.
They have also been given the dashcam footage shot by an Uber driver who was charging his car when the Range Rover slammed through a metal fence above his car and flipped on to the railway tracks.
The video shows the car as it crashes through a Tesla charging station.
A 52-year-old man who was sat in his car suffered minor injuries.
Ms Arif told Mail Online how she had pleaded with Mr Al Mousawi and her friend to wear their seatbelts when they left a shisha lounge in Park Royal.
Ms Arif, also a beautician, said Mr Al Mousawi liked to tease his passengers by driving fast. She claimed she had told him to slow down and said he swerved to avoid an animal in the road.
Eyewitnesses have said the car was travelling at up to 100mph when it left the road and ended up on the rail tracks.
At the opening of an inquest into the death of Iraqi-born Ms Ozden it was revealed she died from multiple injuries and blunt force trauma having been ejected from the car.
Ms Ozden, who was the mother of a 12-year-old daughter, was identified by her fingerprints.
The inquest will resume once police have completed their investigation which could result in charges being brought against the driver.
