AT least 15 people have been killed after a Russian missile strike obliterated a block of flats in Ukraine.
More than 30 people are still trapped under the rubble of the five-storey building in Chasiv Yar, eastern Ukraine, officials said.
The block of flats partially collapsed after the strike on Sunday.
Officials said: "During the rescue operation, 15 bodies were found at the scene and five people were pulled out of the rubble."
Authorities said rescuers have managed to make contact with three people alive under the rubble.
Donetsk region Governor Pavlo Kyrylenko said at least 34 people are thought to still be trapped under the ruins.

He said the town was hit by Russian Uragan rockets – which are fired from truck-borne systems.
A woman who lived in the building said: "I was in the bedroom, I came out and everything started shaking, collapsing.
"What saved me was the force of the explosion pushing me into the bathroom, covered in blood. I barely got out."
Andriy Yermak, chief of staff to Ukraine's president, said the strike was "another terrorist attack".

In a Telegram post, he said Russia should be designated as a "state sponsor of terrorism".
Chasiv Yar is about 12 miles southeast of Kramatorsk, a city expected to be a major target of Russian forces as they grind westward.
The Donetsk region is one of two provinces along with Luhansk that make up the Donbas region, where separatist rebels have fought Ukrainian forces since 2014.
On Saturday, three people were killed and a further 23 wounded by Russian shelling in the region.
Strikes were also reported in Kharkiv, a city which has been under heavy bombardment since the beginning of the war, where a "teaching establishment" and a house were hit.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the widespread Russian shelling on Saturday night.
"In just one day, Russia hit Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Kryvyi Rig, the communities of the Zaporizhzhia region," he said.
He said the strikes "absolutely deliberately" and "purposefully" targeted residential areas, hitting "ordinary houses, civilian objects, people".
"Such terrorist actions can really only be stopped with weapons, modern and powerful," Zelensky added.
Last week, Russia captured the city of Lysychansk – the last major stronghold of Ukrainian resistance in Luhansk.
Russian forces have been unleashing hell in the Donbas despite some believing Putin's troops would be taking a pause, Luhansk governor Serhiy Haidai said.
After the seizure of Lysychansk, some analysts predicted Moscow's forces would likely take some time to rearm and regroup.

But Haidai said Putin "is still attacking and shelling our lands with the same intensity as before".
He said the Russian bombardment of Luhansk was halted because the Ukrainian forces had destroyed ammunition depots and barracks used by the Russians.
