Second tourist dies in ANOTHER shark attack at Red Sea resort hours after snorkeller, 68, had 'arm and leg ripped off' | The Sun

A SECOND tourist has been mauled to death by a shark as her body was found just hours after a snorkeller was killed at a resort on the Red Sea.

Her lifeless body was discovered just 650ft from where another swimmer had been killed earlier that day in Sahl Hasheesh, Egypt.

The extraordinary double attack has left a huge stretch of the popular tourist coast closed – with fears of a man-eating shark still prowling the beaches.

The 68-year-old snorkeller had apparently told her partner she was just going back into the water "for a moment" before being killed.

Now authorities have admitted that a second woman, was killed around the same time.

Her lifeless body was pulled out of the sea after being located on a reef, according to eyewitnesses.

Two sources have claimed the body of the Romanian tourist in her late forties was discovered just hours after the first attack.

She was believed to have been staying at adult-only Premiere Le Reve five star hotel.

The same unnamed Russian tourist who filmed the aftermath of the first attack posted a new video showing the location of the second fatal incident.

Using his finger to explain, he said: “This is a small lagoon where we saw [the shark] for the first time.

“And we didn’t realise it was a shark.

“The attack I filmed [earlier] was here” – he points towards the pier.

“And the body of the second woman was pulled out approximately here.”

According to reports, tourists rushed out of the water when the first woman was attacked.

And others “distract the shark from the victim” from the shore and a nearby pier.

They complained there were no lifeguards as swimmers fled the sea.

The Russian witness said: “I saw the shark turning and twisting the woman in the water.

“I didn’t manage to film it, but she was twisted in the water.”

Earlier he told how he saw the woman “”fighting off [the shark] with her hands at first, but apparently the shark bit off her leg with a flipper first, then her hand,  which it threw it on the corals.

“She was already sitting on the corals, showing her hand [and] leg.

"She was in [a state of] shock. She didn't even scream, didn't cry, nothing.”

The pensioner was reportedly from Kramsach in the Tyrolean Unterland..

She had been on holiday in Egypt since 2 June and was on the beach with her partner of Egyptian origin.

The beast that attacked her was an endangered mako shark, which can swim at up to 46mph.

In the wake of the two attacks authorities imposed a ban on swimming in the area.
