BMW washes out to sea after parking on beach in Cornwall over balmy Bank Holiday weekend

A car washed out to sea in Cornwall, requiring a recovery by the local coastguard.
The black BMW vehicle ended up in the sea at Trevaunance Cove, St Agnes, shortly before 8.30am on Sunday, alerting the St Agnes Coastguard Search and Rescue Team.
The team helped to ensure that everybody in the vehicle was safe and remained at the scene while the car was recovered.
It is not clear how the vehicle ended up in the sea but no injuries reported following the rescue.
Posting pictures and video footage of the incident on social media, St Agnes Coastguard Search and Rescue Team stated: ‘The vehicle was finally removed. The team stood down and returned to the station at 10.19am.’

The recovery of the vehicle occurred during the middle of what was a baking Bank Holiday weekend across the UK.
Temperatures could reach as much as 25C on Tuesday, making the UK hotter than Lanzarote and Barcelona.
Today’s scorcher comes after thermometers hit 21C yesterday to cap off a balmy bank holiday weekend that saw Britons flock to beaches, parks and lochs, with many enjoying a cooling dip in the water.
The Met Office says the settled dry and sunny spell is expected to last for at least the next ten days as summer officially starts tomorrow.
The Met Office’s long-term outlook states: ‘A north/south split is possible as June progresses, with northern areas having a better chance of dry conditions, whereas the South may be slightly wetter than average.
‘In general, the temperatures are likely to be above average.’
