‘Bomb threat’ to Jet2 plane as RAF fighters scramble to intercept it over UK

    RAF Typhoon fighters have been scrambled due to a potential bomb threat on a Jet2 flight over Essex.

    The flight was on its way from Dalaman, Turkey to Manchester before it was forced to turn around just north of London.

    Two RAF planes responded to the threat to the Boeing 737, which has now been diverted to Stansted Airport.
