Britain faces wet and windy conditions with yellow weather warnings
Britain faces wet and windy weekend with yellow weather warnings in place today and tomorrow – while Europe roasts in Cerberus heatwave and braces for record 48.8C temperatures
Yellow weather rain and wind warnings have been put in place for today and tomorrow.
A warning covering parts of Wales and the south west of England predicts possible delays to rail, air and ferry transport due to strong winds.
Some damage to trees or temporary structures such as marquees, tents and inflatables could also occur, the Met Office says.
Standing water and spray on roads will also lead to difficult driving conditions, forecasters say.
