Driver dies in two-vehicle crash in Aurora

A Wednesday night fatal crash in Aurora involving two vehicles is under investigation, police said Thursday.

Police responded to the crash at 11:18 p.m. Wednesday at East Montview Boulevard and North Florence Street, according to a news release. A Jeep Wrangler was heading west on East Montview while a Subaru Forester was traveling north on North Florence. The crash occurred when the Subaru driver attempted to make a left turn in front of the Wrangler.

The Subaru driver was transported to a local hospital and later died of their injuries. The Jeep driver was not injured and remained at the crash scene, police said.

The Adams County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the Subaru driver and the cause of death.

Both directions of Montview Boulevard were closed for more than three hours for the investigation, according to the news release. It reopened at 2:34 a.m. Thursday.
