‘Drone or sabotage blast’ at Russian oil refinery just 80 miles from Putin's £1bn clifftop palace with nuke bunker | The Sun
A RUSSIAN oil refinery less than 80 miles from Vladimir Putin's clifftop palace has been rocked by a major explosion.
Flames and thick noxious black smoke poured from the facility in Krasnodar following the suspected drone or sabotage attack.
The latest blow for Putin comes as Ukraine steps up its counteroffensive.
Krasnodar city is capital of a region of the same name which is linked to annexed Crimea across the Kerch Strait.
The city is a key link in Putin’s war effort and a hub for supplying occupied Crimea.
The blaze was at Krasnodar Oil Refinery, in a diesel processing facility, local Kuban News reports.

More than 130 firefighters were called to the scene.
Putin’s £1 billion clifftop palace in Gelendzhik – with an underground bunker, pole-dancing boudoir, and vineyard – is less than 80 miles away from the blast.
The sprawling mansion, which dwarfs the size of Buckingham Palace, was dubbed "the most guarded place in Russia and Putin's biggest secret" by jailed opposition leader Alexei Navalny.
It boasts a swimming pool, spa, saunas, bar, theatre, cinema, wine cellar, casino, guest house and even its own petrol station.

Putin is also said to have rigged it out with a sleazy "striptease" room for him and his cronies, complete with a stage and pole.
Krasnodar region also suffered a radio hack this week from anti-Putin partisan group Freedom of Russia Legion.
The message threatened to destroy Putin’s "war criminals” in Crimea but would not pose a threat to the civilian population.
It comes after a missile struck Russian-occupied port earlier this month.
A suspected British-supplied Storm Shadow missile hit the Berdiansk port in Russian-occupied Ukraine causing "casualties and destruction".
A huge plume of smoke was seen rising from the port on the Sea of Azov in Russian-occupied Zaporizhzhia region.
Storm Shadow air-launched cruise missiles can travel up to 600mph and blast targets up to 350 miles away that have long been out of reach for Ukraine.
The high-tech weapons are capable of hitting targets at maximum range in just 35 minutes – travelling nearly half the length of the UK.
