Evil teacher ‘killed his dog to prove how strong he is’ in brutal attack

A teacher is suspected of one of the worst animal abuse cases a vet has ever seen following a dog's brutal death.

Daniel Lamont Gray, Jr. has been temporarily stricken off work as he is investigated for battering an American Pit Bull Terrier puppy to death in Broward County, Florida, US.

Witnesses claim to have heard Gray yell at eight-month-old Jack, “you see how strong I am?" before seeing red and unleashing a harrowing beating.

Gray allegedly 'went crazy' and began punching, kicking and swinging the dog by his legs before body slamming him to the ground.

Vet Dr Elizabeth Rosainz at LeadER Animal Hospital received a call from police about the incident.

She said “I’ve seen some abuse cases but this is the worst I’ve ever seen.

“There was so much blood from the oral cavity and the nasal cavity. He had a puncture wound on the top of the head, and when we took x-rays we found rib fractures and a punctured lung.”

Police said the dog’s body was found by witnesses half covered in bags and sheets, outside an apartment building at The Avant in Pembroke Pines.

Broward County’s school system also told Local 10 News that Gray will be relocated, for now.

It remains unclear how the dog got a perfect puncture wound to his head, but state officials are examining the body.

Broward Schools said Gray's new role will be away from teaching until the investigation is over.
