Festival-goers at Glastonbury have been left stunned by exorbitant prices after being charged £8 for a small, sorry-looking portion of chips – days after punters complained over ‘London pub’ beer prices.
Photographs shared with MailOnline show a paltry pile of fries in a small carboard box, accompanied by a wooden fork.
It comes as revellers gear up for hotly-anticipated weekend of music, drinks, and a sprinkling of rain at Worthy Park in Somerset.
According to Glastonbury’s website, food and drink costs at the festival are the equivalent of London prices.
But revellers have been left shocked as food stalls are charging £15 for a chicken burger and fries – or £18 for a double.
The chips controversy follows complaints after the price list for drinks in the festival grounds was photographed and posted online.

The pricey snacks and drinks are proving another frustration for ticket holders, many of whom have already shelled out more than £300 on tickets.
Previously festival-goers were seen putting on a brave face as rain fell intermittently on Worthy Farm throughout Wednesday.
Although initial images showed a quagmire of mud and slippery conditions, it is now understood to have dried up at the site.
The Twitter account for Glastonbury @TheGlastoThingy shared their prices ahead of the five-day festival, creating outrage at the £6.00 starting prices for a pint.
When told the price of a portion of the chips, a middle-aged festival-goer said: ‘Oh dear me.’
He added: ‘You’ve really got to enjoy them at that price.’
A security guard working at the festival described the price of a portion of the ‘rosemary salted’ fries as ‘daylight robbery’.
Another reveller laughed when told the price and added: ‘They better be f***ing amazing for that.’

This food stall is situated in an area only available to people who have paid for the elevated ‘hospitality camping’ – where tickets cost £675 plus VAT instead of the usual £335 plus a £5 booking fee.
Spirit lovers are also surprised as a double and a mixer will set you back at least £12 and the most expensive combination being a spirit and Red Bull.

A can of the energy drink on its own will cost £4.50 as opposed to their starting retail price of £1.50.
The cheapest wine option appears to begin at £29 and a half pint of soft drink starts at £3.
Twitter users have responded in outrage over the soaring prices of drinks, with one writing ‘SIX POUNDS EIGHTY PENCE’ and another commenting ‘Just shy of 7 quid for a San Miguel?!’
Another user commented: ‘Robbing b*******… can’t wait.’
One user commented with an angry emoji: ‘Half a pint of coke £3’
One savvy social media user said: ‘Glad I packed plenty of rum. Maybe backed up by the odd cheeky pint from the cider bus.’
Others appeared content with the prices, one said: ‘£6 for a cider, not too shabby’ while another agreed: ‘Actually not that bad’.

But spirit drinkers appear unpleased, one said: ‘F*** me those spirit prices.’
The drinks are roughly the same as the cost of a pint in London, and the festival offers free drinking water.

When first set up in the late summer of 1970, admission was just £1, which included free camping and free milk.
Now, it is one of the most expensive festivals in the UK, and general admission will cost £335 with the addition of a £5 booking fee.
The rising prices of the festival has upset many in recent years, and in 2022 Co-organiser Emily Eavis responded to the outrage.
She wrote: ‘We have tried very hard to minimise the increase in price on the tickets but we’re facing enormous rises in the costs of running this vast show.’
The organiser attributed the pandemic to placing a financial toll on the festival, and thanked fans for their continued support. She said: ‘We are, as always, hugely appreciative of your ongoing support.’
The MailOnline has contacted Glastonbury festival organisers for comment on the current drink prices.
Thousands of campers have descended on the site already, with stages across the 900-acre site hosting world-class music stars as well as speeches by politicians, film screenings, theatre and circus performances until Sunday.
Festival-goers arriving in Somerset on Thursday could experience travel disruption due to wet weather, but the skies are due to clear in the area before the music kicks off on Friday.
Temperatures are set to remain warm at 22C on Thursday and highs of 26C are expected on Sunday for Sir Elton John’s headline performance.
Those already in place said they had already experienced a “whole week” of weather on the first day, after the morning downpour was replaced with hot sunshine that rapidly interchanged with further torrential showers throughout the day.
Sheffield rockers Arctic Monkeys are due to top the bill on Friday night on the Pyramid Stage, though their slot has been thrown into question over concerns for frontman Alex Turner, who has been suffering from acute laryngitis.
Saturday night will see US rockers Guns N’ Roses headline, after the original line-up of Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan reunited in 2015.
Lizzo will play immediately before and has joint headline billing on the line-up poster.
Sir Elton’s headline slot on Sunday night is expected to draw large crowds, as it marks the end of his scheduled farewell tour dates in the UK.
