Five people including an eight-year-old child have been killed ‘execution style’ in a shooting in Texas by an ‘intoxicated’ gunman using an AR-15 who has since fled the country.
The shooting occurred at 11.31pm last night in Cleveland, a small city north of Houston. Five bodies were found inside a home, and another three people were injured.
The gunman, who has not yet been publicly named, was said to be intoxicated at the time. He has since fled the country.
Police described him as a Mexican man who is around 5ft 8.

SWAT teams were called to the scene to try to locate the gunman, but he had already fled the country
The motive for the shooting remains unclear.
In a Facebook statement, the San Jacinto Sheriff’s Office said: ‘Night shift patrol deputies were dispatched to a residence in reference to an harassment complaint.
‘While en-route, the communications center received multiple 911 calls of an active shooter incident at the dispatch location.
‘Multiple deputies arrived at the residence and located multiple victims deceased in a resident and several others in critical condition from multiple gunshot wounds.’
Four adults died at the house, while the eight-year-old died in the hospital.
According to police, the gunman is known to shoot his rifle in the front yard.
