TRAVEL chaos has affected commuters across the nation as heavy snow blanketed Britain overnight.
Train services have ground to a halt in many regions, impacting the Monday morning commutes of millions of workers.
The heavy overnight snowfall has also caused significant disruptions to motorways, cancelled flights, and led schools to shut their doors across the nation this morning.
The Met Office has issued yellow weather warnings of ice, fog and snow for much of the UK, with some regions seeing persistent wintery weather throughout the day.
And there will be more to come – forecasters predict temperatures could plummet to -10C in the coming days.
Here is how train services are affected up and down the UK this morning.

LONDON OVERGROUND
No London Overground trains between Watford Junction and London Euston until approximately 8AM.
There will also be no services between Gospel Oak and Barking Riverside until 9.30AM.
AVANTI WEST COAST
Disruption through Haymarket expected until 10.45AM.
CALEDONIAN SLEEPER
Expected disruption between Dundee and Aberdeen/ Edinburgh expected until 10.15AM.

CROSSCOUNTRY
Reduced CrossCountry services between Birmingham New Street and Stansted Airport until the end of the day.
Disruption through Haymarket expected until 10.45AM, and between Dundee and Aberdeen/ Edinburgh until 10.15AM.
EAST MIDLANDS RAILWAY
Disruption between Leicester and Kettering expected until the end of the day.
GATWICK EXPRESS
Gatwick Express services will be disrupted until midday.
GREAT NORTHERN
No trains between Hitchin and Royston until the end of service.
GREATER ANGLIA
Disruption to Greater Anglia services until approximately 9am, including to and from London Liverpool Street.
LONDON NORTH EASTERN RAILWAY
Disruption through Haymarket expected until 10.45AM, and between Dundee and Aberdeen/ Edinburgh until 10.15AM.
LONDON NORTHWESTERN RAILWAY
Bus replacement services between Bedford and Bletchley until further notice.
SCOTRAIL
Disruption through Haymarket expected until 10.45AM, and between Dundee and Aberdeen/ Edinburgh until 10.15AM.
There will also be delays between Glasgow Central/ Neilston and Kings Park until 10.30AM.
SOUTH WESTERN RAILWAY
Disruption to some services expected until midday, including through Feltham.
SOUTHEASTERN
Snow and ice will affect services throughout the day.
SOUTHERN
There will be disruptions to all Southern services until midday.
THAMESLINK
Disruptions to services until midday, with no trains between Hitchin and Royston until the end of service.
TRANSPENNINE EXPRESS
Disruption through Haymarket expected until 10.45AM.

TRANSPORT FOR WALES
Buses will replace trains between Wrexham Central and Bidston until the end of the day.
WEST MIDLANDS RAILWAY
Bus replacement services will run between Stourbridge Town and Stourbridge Junction until the end of service.
Due to severe weather in the South East, there has been significant disruption to the overnight distribution of newspapers printed by Newsprinters in Broxbourne. Newspaper delivery in many parts of the south of the country may be disrupted or delayed.
