Governor at prison and his wife charged with taking bribes from criminal gangs for sensitive data | The Sun
A GOVERNOR at Wormwood Scrubs and his prison boss wife have been charged in a anti-corruption probe.
Pete Nichols — corruption prevention manager at the Category B jail — is alleged to have been paid by crime gangs for secret information.
He is charged alongside his wife, Jessica, a governor at young offenders institution HMP Feltham with computer offences.
They are suspected of logging in to the prison service system to get sensitive info in late 2021.
A source said: “This has been taken very seriously. It has sent shockwaves through the system.”
Pete Nichols, 47, is one of the highest ranking prison officials to face criminal charges.

He has helped police prosecute a couple who smuggled contraband into the Scrubs in West London and is often quoted by the prison service on tackling corruption.
His wife, 41, is one of the senior officials at Feltham, also in West London
The couple, from Surrey, are both thought to have been suspended from duty.
They are charged alongside Gareth Casella, 32, also from Surrey.
