The price of a Greggs sausage roll has increased by 5p to £1.20, making it the fourth time the cost has gone up in the past year.
Rising from £1.15 in October to £1.20 in January, the beloved food item has seen incremental price increases and is now 15p more expensive than it was this time last year.
Meanwhile, in some city-centre locations such as London, a sausage roll will set customers back as much as £1.45.

At the start of last year, the staple item and firm favourite with customers, was just £1.05 – and a year before that it cost just £1.
It comes as it was revealed that sales hit £1.51bn in 2022, up from £1.23bn the previous year.
The increase in price is down to inflation, according to Greggs boss Roisin Currie.

The bakery chain saw its cost go up by nine per cent on average over 2022, compared with the previous year.
This has seen a surge in prices of some of Greggs’ key food items – including the sausage roll, lunchtime deal and hot evening deals – going up by five or 10p each time.
But despite cost-of-living struggles facing millions of cash-strapped Britons, Greggs insists it remains good value for money with its breakfast meal deal costing £2.60 and lunch deal at £3.60.
Ms Currie said: ‘While market conditions in 2023 will remain challenging, our value-for-money offer of freshly prepared food and drink is highly relevant as consumers look to manage their budgets without compromising on quality and taste.’
Meanwhile, the chain has announced plans to extend opening hours at more than 500 of its UK stores.
Hundreds of shops will now stay open until 8pm, as sales during the early evening are growing fast.
The firm has not yet said which branches would have their opening hours extended.
In October, Greggs revealed that sales jumped by 15 per cent over the past three months as cash-conscious consumers seek cheaper meals during ‘worrying’ times.
Known for its sausage rolls, steak bakes, vegan snacks and sweet treats, its total sales rose 14.6 per cent over the 13 weeks to October 1, its fiscal third quarter, with like-for-like sales in company managed shops up 9.7 per cent.
However, faced with higher costs, Greggs has pushed through another round of price rises this week, including for its famous sausage rolls.
