Harry called his therapist instead of Meghan after he was 'knocked to the floor' by William, new book Spare reveals | The Sun

PRINCE Harry called his therapist instead of Meghan Markle after being "attacked" by Prince William, he claims in his new book.

The Duke of Sussex alleges his brother "knocked him to the floor" during a heated row.

In his upcoming bombshell book Spare, which is due out on January 10, Harry says he immediately contacted his therapist rather than his wife following the bust-up.

Harry claims he later told Meghan about the argument after she noticed "scrapes and bruises" on his back, reports the Guardian.

According to Harry's book, William, now The Prince of Wales, called Meghan "rude" and "difficult" during the row.

Harry alleges William "grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and … knocked me to the floor".

He claims he was left with a visible injury to his back following the argument in 2019 at Nottingham Cottage on the grounds of Kensington Palace, where he was living at the time.

Harry says William was already "piping hot" when he arrived wanting to talk about their deteriorating relationship.

According to Harry, it turned into a shouting match as William complained about his wife Meghan, calling her "rude" and "abrasive".

Harry accused his brother of repeating the press narrative before William insisted he was trying to help.

The Duke of Sussex responded: "Are you serious? Help me? Sorry – is that what you call this? Helping me?”

Harry claims he then poured William a glass of water and said: "Willy, I can’t speak to you when you’re like this."

He then says his brother called him "another name" and then "came at me".

Harry claims: "It all happened so fast. He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and he knocked me to the floor.

"I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out.”

He says William told him to hit him back but he refused, and so his brother left "looking regretful, and apologised".

William then told his brother not to tell Meghan about the confrontation, according to Harry.

Harry says he replied: "You mean that you attacked me?", to which he claims William responded: "I didn't attack you, Harold."

It is also reported Harry's book reveals how King Charles pleaded with his sons not to make his "final years a misery".

The Duke of Sussex says his father brought the feuding brothers together following Prince Philip's funeral in April 2021.

Harry says Charles, then the Prince of Wales, stood between him and William while "looking up at our flushed faces", reports the Guardian from a leaked extract of Spare.

He claims Charles said: "Please boy, don't make my final years a misery."

The extracts of Harry's book have been published by the Guardian. It is unclear how they obtained an early copy.

It comes after The Sun revealed that the book will take his war with brother William, 40, to a new level.
