I held gender reveal party at crash site where husband died – he wanted to know the sex of our twins before his death | The Sun

A WIDOW who lost her husband in a crash earlier this month visited the scene of the tragedy to learn the gender of their unborn twins.

Aaron Morris, 31, had learned wife Samantha was pregnant shortly before his death in a smash in Esh Winning, Co. Durham on July 1.

The dad-of-three said he'd wanted two boys – and this week, his wish was granted as his eldest children popped balloons filled with blue confetti, Chronicle Live reports.

Movingly, Samantha said Aaron was so excited for the new babies that he'd wanted to find out the gender from doctors first – and reveal the news to her at a party.

"I want him to know and this was the last place he was alive, so I thought this would be the best place to do it," Samantha said.

Aaron was killed in a crash between his motorbike and a car on the day of his wife's 28th birthday.

Heartbreakingly, Samantha was one of the first people at the scene.

She tried to make Aaron comfortable while they waited for paramedics to arrive.

The couple had been due to travel to the Lake District that day to celebrate Samantha's birthday.

After Aaron's death, she returned home to find her presents and a card, in which he'd told her how excited he was for their future together.
