I was raped by household name TV star – he turned up at my home uninvited, I was traumatised | The Sun
A WOMAN told how she was left traumatised after being raped by a Scots TV star who forced his way into her home.
Karen Devine, 40, said the celebrity showed up at her then-home in Glasgow's west end uninvited and forced her to have sex with him.
The mother-of-two she had her family visiting when the accused arrived.
She said her parents told him to go away but when they left, he bombarded Ms Devine with text messages and said he had been drinking.
She told the Mail on Sunday: " I told him I felt vulnerable.
"He told me he just wanted to see my face and I thought if he does maybe he will just go."
But instead, the household name – who has appeared on multiple shows – grabbed her and began to sexually assault her only to be disturbed by Karen's daughter upstairs.
Karen said: "He lurched at me and I could feel the weight of him on me. I just froze.
"I kept saying I was with someone, I didn't want to be doing this, but he continued to have sex with me."
Karen then said she passed out – only to regain consciousness when he left without saying a word.

The next day she challenged the TV Star by text message, writing "You took advantage of me" – but he blocked her without responding.
Last year, Karen found the courage to report the incident to the police.
The man – who cannot be named for legal reasons – was arrested and questioned by cops after Ms Devine reported the incident.
But Karen was later told there was not enough evidence to charge him.
Ms Devine has now hit out at the legal system that left officers unable to prosecute the television personality.
It comes after multiple other women previously came forward to accuse him of sexual harassment and inappropriate conduct.
Karen said the ordeal has left her with severe anxiety and depression.
Karen's story comes as Scotland's chief prosecutor Lord Advocate Dorothy Bain KC said last week too many rape cases were dropped due to lack of evidence.
The Lord Advocate called for a victim's distress to be accepted in court as corroboration.
The Scots TV star has faced numerous allegations in the past for using his celebrity status to pester women for sex.
But there has been no criminal convictions for this behaviour.
Karen added:"The man is a predator.
"He gets to get on with his life and I'm left trying to build mine back up.'
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “A thorough investigation was carried out following a report of non-recent sexual abuse.
