I'm furious after my straight-A daughter, 11, was sent home from school for her PE shorts in heatwave | The Sun

A MUM was left fuming after her 11-year-old daughter was sent home from school for wearing PE shorts during the heatwave which

The youngster went to school in her sports kit on Tuesday after teachers agreed to let pupils ditch their uniforms – but she was told her shorts "looked like hot pants".

The Year 7 daughter was told her thigh-length shorts were "inappropriate".

The mum, who does not want to be named, said: "It's just creepy to be sexualising 11-year-old girls like this.

"My daughter wore the shorts which she does for all PE lessons to be comfortable, not to look good.

"I checked all the school uniform policy and all it states is black shorts.

The school, rated 'Good' by Ofsted inspectors, caters for 654 pupils aged between 11-18.

Executive principal Anna Martin said: "We just asked students to return home to change into appropriate PE shorts.
